Privacy Policy
Humdinger is operated by Stronger Software LLC (“Humdinger,” “we,” “us”). We built Humdinger to collect as little as possible, to never track you across other apps or companies, and to never sell your data. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Everything below is linked to your account, used only to provide the app (“App Functionality”), and never used to track you:
- Contact info — your email and name from Sign in with Apple, used to set up your account and seed your display name.
- Identifiers — your account id and display name, and your device’s push token, used to deliver the notifications you and your friends send.
- Content you create — your custom sounds (audio), and the text and drawings in the events and canvases you make.
- Purchases — your Pro entitlement (whether you’ve unlocked Pro).
- Diagnostics — crash and performance data, through Sentry, with personal information turned off. Not linked to your identity and not used to track you.
- Usage — anonymous product-interaction counts, through TelemetryDeck. Install-anonymous (no user id), not linked to your identity and not used to track you.
We include no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, and Humdinger never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt — because we don’t track you.
How we use it
We use your information solely to provide and operate Humdinger: running your events, delivering notifications and their sounds, syncing scores and canvases across your devices and friends, validating your Pro purchase, and keeping the service reliable. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
How sharing works
Humdinger is social by design. When you create an event or canvas and invite people, the content you add — scores, text, custom sounds, drawings — is shown to the people you invite. That’s the entire point of the app. Only people you share with can see it. We never sell your data and never share it with data brokers.
Service providers
A small set of infrastructure providers process the data above on our behalf, only to run the service: hosting and database (Supabase, Railway), file storage for sounds and canvas assets (Cloudflare R2), and Apple (Sign in with Apple and push-notification delivery). Our diagnostics and usage providers (Sentry and TelemetryDeck, described above) run in privacy-preserving modes and do not receive data that identifies you.
Keeping and deleting your data
You can permanently delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Profile → Delete account). When you do, we remove your name and sign-in and delete your private data. Because Humdinger’s scores and canvases are built from a shared, append-only history, anything you contributed to a friend’s event keeps working for them — but it’s anonymized, no longer carrying your name.
Your choices
You can edit your display name, control notifications in iOS Settings, and delete your account in the app whenever you like.
Children
Humdinger isn’t directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required where you live). See our Terms of Service for eligibility.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above.
